Gaz 69

Work started on the Bronco Gaz 69.

The kit looks excellent, with abundance of detail. It does not leave any room for aftermarket stuff at all. I have never ever before put together kit as good as this one.

I discovered the error in the instruction manual- part F4. It should be turned 180 degree.

 Here the frame finished with the engine fitted.

Body, and wheels assembled. Seats, and doors also.

We've been having some hot weather recently, and soaking in the detergent was a must to get all the fingermarks off of the parts.

I smell glue again.

Almost a month ago my beautiful daughter Caroline was born, so understandably i didn't have much time for hobbies. Now i became custom to the father role, im finding the urge to work with plastic again.
I took few days off and went fishing to make my mind what i want to do with my modelling life.

I decided i haven't the time to work with difficult kits anymore, so from now on i'm ditching all outstanding models awaiting on the shelf of doom. Additionally i'm only concentrating on the easy kits i.e. the Tamiya, Bronco, or Hasegawa.

Continuing with that line of thinking i reached for the Bronco Gaz 69 M kit.

I will build the model as polish Milicja vehicle from the seventies using excellent decals from Toro.

Sunday ride.

Took the bike for the cross country ride yesterday.

Done another 20 odd km without any trouble.

Added the wicker basket for vintage look.

SHL M11W new pictures

Few new pictures of my SHL M11W motorbike.

I started fixing the bike slowly. 

The carburetor was changed for the new unit, the magneto was set, and the new NGK spark plug was fixed.

I'll ride the bike for few days, and see what needs to be looked at.

I registered the bike under my name now, and insured it.

1968 SHL M11W

 I went to the city of Rybnik this morning to pick my new toy- the vintage SHL M11W i bought through the internet auction.

Very derelict town with the coal mine in the centre of it:

I've done 600 km in order to bring the bike home, but it was worth it.
Im the third owner of the motorbike since new. It is registered, and in full working order. I also got the service book, instruction manual, original purchase receipt from 1968, and few spares with it like original windshield- very rare item.

VW Oval 1956

Time to start another model, and continuing with the VW scheme i will make the MR Hobby's 1956 VW Oval with custom built roof rack, and ski rack complete with the skis.

On the top of the roof rack i will place some luggage.

I textured the seats to look really worn:

Front tyres are from the kit, but rear are sourced from Ferrari 250 GTO:

It took 2 hours to assemble the floor complete with running gear, and wheels. Nice and easy so far, but i noticed few injection marks on the surface of the body.

I have lowered the whole suspension, and the front beam was made narrow.
