BMW R75 Final detailing

I finished the front end.

Lot of fiddly work, that require bike handling.

Decals were yellow from age, and i had to match the registration colour with the decal to disguise it.

I opened the headlight dimmer cover, and fitted the reflector inside along with the bulb.

Rear of the bike.
Mud guard support was unusable, and i had to scratch built the new one. I soldered it from wires, and brass sheet.
Registration plate is made of aluminum sheet. Decal was yellow, so i made it look dusty to cover it.
I added some damage, and scratches to the pannier.

Handlebar.
I reworked the way the bar is mounted.
Added few bolts, and nuts.
The throttle mechanism built from scratch, as was the horn button, and light switch.
All the pins which meant to be the cables mounting points were sanded, and instead i drilled the bar to insert the cables inside it later on.

BMW R 75 Bike build

After completing the construction of the sidecar i started building the bike itself.
Really slow work, as the parts require lot of attention. The kit shows it's age here.
Additionally the frame was warped.
Body of the engine was put together, and painted various Alclad paints: alu, dark alu, polished alu, steel, stainless steel.
Tricky part is, the body of the engine needs to be put into the frame, and then the frame can be joined, and painted.
I used the hairspray technique with base of Panzer Grey, and Dunkelgelb overspray.

Added the seat rivets, and knee protectors.
Kit knee protectors were so thick, that i had to scratch the new parts from tin.
I also added the small pocket on the right protector.

"Moto i bloto" BMW R75 ESCI 1/9

New build.

It will be eastern front BMW R75 with sidecar from ESCI in 1/9 scale.

Probably painted in Panzer Grey with overcoat of Dunkelgelb.

It will be set in lots of muck to cover awful wheel spokes.

I tried to make the new spokes from scratch long ego, but failed- i just don't have the patience.

Rotten frog- groundword

I wanted the car to look like it was abandoned in the woods.
Started by spreading thin layer of Woodland Scenics Mould-A-Scene Plaster mixed with little of brown paint, and some earth pigments.
On top of that i set the car, and scattered the twigs around.

Forrest floor was made from shreded leafs.

Rotten Frog painting

Started painting the inside of the car.
First i sprayed the whole lot with Tamiya flat brown, and then i used various shades of Humbrol to paint the details with the brush.

Pigments, and washes used. Added the AK slime green to the tarp.
Some twigs, and leaves were scattered on the floor- where the door will be opened ajar.
