Gaz 69 figure work

Work started on the figure.

It will be scratch built figure of the protester standing on the bonnet, and holding banner.

Im using Hornet head, and hands. Boots are reworked Dragon.

Adding more meat.

Corrected the shape of the shoulders, and neck.

Finished building the Gaz. Now the weathering with oils, and pigments.

Gaz 69 Bronco 1/35 "Mo-town"

After some time on the shelf of doom Gaz 69 returned to the works.

Seehund 1/35 Bronco finished.

I opted for the generic pike pattern

Side of the conning tower in white. Number 362 is from the spare decals, while the yellow training dot, and the A symbol are painted.

Varnished, and depth decals added.  Varnished again, and washed with dark wash.

Seehund 1/35 Bronco- work begins.

After clearing the desk following the VW build i reached for the Bronco's Seehund in 1/35 scale.

First thing i always do is get myself familiar with the instructions manual.

I joined the two halves together.
It should be straightforward build i think.

Inside of the conning tower was scratch built

The seaman put together with few spare parts, and the Hornet head

The figure fits nicely into the tube

I riveted the top of the conning tower using Archer Fine Transfers rivets, and added the panel lines.
Anti slip plate was also added around the periscope, and couple of handles.

Peryscope was built from scratch using some brass tubing. Added the weld lines near the lifting hooks, and on top of segment no. 2 of the pressure hull. 

Dive planes, and stoppers were also added.

I sprayed the primer in search of imperfections.

Small base was built to help handle, and later display the model.

Gaz 69

Work started on the Bronco Gaz 69.

The kit looks excellent, with abundance of detail. It does not leave any room for aftermarket stuff at all. I have never ever before put together kit as good as this one.

I discovered the error in the instruction manual- part F4. It should be turned 180 degree.

 Here the frame finished with the engine fitted.

Body, and wheels assembled. Seats, and doors also.

We've been having some hot weather recently, and soaking in the detergent was a must to get all the fingermarks off of the parts.

I smell glue again.

Almost a month ago my beautiful daughter Caroline was born, so understandably i didn't have much time for hobbies. Now i became custom to the father role, im finding the urge to work with plastic again.
I took few days off and went fishing to make my mind what i want to do with my modelling life.

I decided i haven't the time to work with difficult kits anymore, so from now on i'm ditching all outstanding models awaiting on the shelf of doom. Additionally i'm only concentrating on the easy kits i.e. the Tamiya, Bronco, or Hasegawa.

Continuing with that line of thinking i reached for the Bronco Gaz 69 M kit.

I will build the model as polish Milicja vehicle from the seventies using excellent decals from Toro.
