Rodenttech. Painting the gas station.

Random black, brown, grey, and silver washes as a base for weathered wood.

Wood grain painted using AK wood set.

Sealed with gloss varnish.
Salt, and hairspray was sprayed over it. Base colour followed.

More salt, and more hairspray.

After more salr highlights, and shadows were sprayed, then the salt was removed.

Opel Blitz- superdetailing

Started adding the lovely details. I just enjoy this part of every build.
Added two pull handles on the side of each door, both door handles, and the bonnet locks.
I have assembled the cab for good now, with all the windows in place.

Added the headlights, searchlight, and the contour indicators

Mirror added.

BMW R75 weathering

Weathering stage started with dry mud application.

I used MIG Acrylic Resin mixed with dry mud pigments to add volume.

Then i sprayed the lower parts with dry mud pigments mixed with water.

Sealed using MIG pigment fixer.

For the very bottom parts i used Wet Effects to simulate the wet mud.

I will add more wet mud when the bike will find its place on the base.

BMW R75 wiring

Completed the wiring of the bike.
All the cables, wires, and fuel lines done.
Last pictures before the sidecar assembly, and weathering with mud.

VW Kafer 1950- Roof rack

Started work on the roof rack. 

Dry fitted to the car to check the dimensions.

 Wooden slats made from polistyrene sheet. Wooden texture made using the high grit sandpaper.
Some planks were painted desert yellow colour, some wooden deck tan colour, and different filters were applied to random planks- yellow, grey, and brown. I sealed the work with coat of gloss varnish.

Dry fit. I'm still undecided on the rack colour- white, or steel.

When i woke up this morning i looked at the model, and realised, that the roof rack is too thin a wire, so made the new roof rack using thicker wire.
Painted steel colour, then masked with salt, and painted white. When i brushed the salt off i didn't like the outcome, so used the white again with sponge to paint over the steel a bit more.
When sealed with gloss varnish i weathered the rack using some brown, and dark washes.
At the end i added fixing bolts to the planks.

VW Kafer- painting

Before i started painting the body of the car i added the body damage here, and there.

Few dents, and scratches, also the deep rust in most common places.

Then the painting began.

 After salt was applied i sprayed the body with layer of hairspray.

Another layer of hairspray was laid.

Stiff brush, and some water made the paint removal so easy.
